Exchange is a server that stores the master records for distribution to all devices that request the data (Securely): emails, public folders and files, tasks, calendar and contacts.

Exchange is one of Microsoft’s flagship products and is the world’s most popular business email platform with its unrivalled ease of use and simple to use functionality.

	‘Centrally’ stored information: Allows access anywhere (with Internet Connectivity) of email, calendars, public folders, contacts, tasks, etc
	Shared contacts: Company or shared address book means important contact details will never be lost or misplaced.
	Shared calendars: Allows users in the organisation to view each other’s diaries (with permissions set per user)- ie a PA can arrange MD’s diary and it will wirelessly sync to his device/ mobile handset etc- if he arranges a meeting on the road it will update his PA’s diary. Also allows for simple and quick booking of boardrooms and meeting areas.
	Shared files: Users can view email, calendars, task lists, contacts and more through Microsoft Outlook on the desktop or notebook PC, Web mail or a handheld wireless device.
	Shared tasks: Allows to do lists to be created and assigned, then shared with team members.
	Mobile access: Exchange allows access on PDA’s, Laptops and Mobile phones- all fully synchronised. Easy access to email for handhelds like the BlackBerry (including BlackBerry Enterprise Server), or Windows Mobile devices, (or most operating systems), PDAs.
	Outlook Web Access: Allows for email and information access through an Internet Web browser. View your up-to-date mailbox on any internet connection using your username and password.
